Hi, I am Kanchi Goyal, Founder of MK Writes.I have pursued my Masters of Business Administration after which I have worked as a Senior Executive professional handling Service Excellence, Compliance and Quality .The objective behind getting into corporate world was to gain an experience as to how companies work and how challenging it is to create, develop and nurture an ecosystem for the senior officials in the company. I had founded MK Writes in the same year i.e. 2010 too wherein I was simultaneously implementing my learning. MK Writes is a fully fledged integrated digital marketing and communications company founded in the year 2010. There are various areas covered under our service platter like Content Writing/Development/Management Systems, Digital Marketing, Translation Services, Social Media Marketing (SMM), SEO, SMO, Bulk SMS Services, Email Marketing, Graphic Designing, Website Designing and Development etc…

How would you define true entrepreneurship?
Being an adventure lover, I completely relate entrepreneurship as a journey or life full of adventures, unpredictable situations and zeal to take risks and move on in life. Entrepreneurship teaches a person to embrace any and every challenge instead of escaping; thereafter making him/her capable and confident about everything in life. Entrepreneurship is just not confined to business, profession or something which eventually churns out money. Being a woman, not only on professional front but on personal front too I am an entrepreneur!!!! Remember the more you take challenges, the more you will transform into a strong and better person. Try to work out of your comfort zone and believe me you will discover a newer ‘YOU’ every time.

What all challenges did you face and what were your strategies to them?
Being a first generation entrepreneur, it did bring a great amount of challenge for me. Since I always wanted to pursue something of my own, I did have that passion and interest towards performing my chores but truly lacked experience in the field of Digital Marketing and Communications. Apart from experience, pitching and converting new clients was also a challenge for us in our initial days. But keeping our belief factor alive and undertaking work/projects with precision and timely delivery, gradually we were able to easily convert the prospective clients into a permanent one. The challenges do not end here. Along with this, we too faced challenges with respect to maintaining quality, uniqueness, creativity, leadership, motivation, team handling, productivity, client satisfaction, etc… but performing diligently in those situations helped us in overcoming these challenges. Remember there is this amazing quote: “If you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, Do what you have to do. Just keep moving forward and never give up!!!”

How has your journey been so far, any plans for expansion?
The journey of 6+ years has truly been a fantastic one. Starting as an individual to associating with numerous happy clients, full time employees, part time employees, freelancers, etc…. Pan India and internationally with our brand MK Writes has been a motivation for us to simply go beyond the conventional. Believing in gender equality and women empowerment, MK Writes focuses on empowering those women who have left their careers due to personal commitments such as marriage, family planning, nurturing their family, etc… by giving them an opportunity to work from home and at the same time keep them updated with time. We also believe in bringing freshers on board so as to help them in chalking their career path and welcome their fresh ideas in the world of business. Our horizons span across the segment of Digital Marketing and Communications which itself covers a gamut of services to offer. Hence, we are only focusing towards improving our services day by day and striving to attain excellence and perfection. Yes, we do have expansion plans. But still there is time to it.

What piece of advice would you like to give to the aspiring youth who wish to pursue their dream of becoming an entrepreneur?
Our elders have rightly said, “There is no shortcut to success”. Hence I would like to advice the aspiring youth entrepreneurs to think well and accept the realities before stepping in the world of Entrepreneurship. A great amount of patience is needed in running your venture. Success might not come at one go. It might take years and years to establish your name and foothold in market and thereafter reap your returns on investment. But one most important thing is “Belief” factor. Always remember that there is no word called ‘Impossible’. Just believe in yourself and see you will do wonders!!!

What are your views and opinions towards the ambiguous need to promote women entrepreneurship and women empowerment in India?
I am really fortunate to belong to a family both on maternal and in-laws side who has always helped and supported me, my dreams and ambitions at every point of time. And so this is what I want to see with each and every family existing in this world. Although there is no lack of mediums that promote the message of women empowerment and women entrepreneurship in India, yet people are not able to accept it. The reasons can be many such as cultural bondage, societal pressures, unsupportive family, etc… But it is high time that people should understand that if a woman has the power and strength to create and nurture generations then she is capable of anything in this world!!! With an open mind and soul, we support and promote the need of women entrepreneurship and women empowerment in India.
