Tell us about yourself and your background.
Hola! Shivangi Anand this side, director and photographer at Jashn-e-Bahara Weddings. Post Graduate in Still Photography and Visual Communications followed by Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Photography is one thing which I really cannot live without. I love to photograph human’s emotions, especially the eyes. They undoubtedly speak a lot and each and every emotion lies in that particular feature of a human being.

Tell us about the company you have set up – when did you set it up, what services do you provide?
I started off with Jashn e Bahara Weddings almost 3 years back. I randomly shot one of my cousin’s wedding and from there on, things started to fall at the right place. Somehow, when it comes to your start up things are not that easy and requires lot of patience and perseverance. And, of course luck too!

Why did you set up the company? / What drove you to become an Entrepreneur?
My father wanted me to get into photography. And, I certainly believe being a women entrepreneur in today’s time is not that easy. But, it definitely helps you to boost your morale and you get to learn a lot from the outside world.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving your success?
Well, loads and loads of obstacles start entering your life the moment you get into something new. There are oodles of competition out there in the market. I still need to learn a lot and grow. Perseverance, patience and being at peace definitely helps.

Please share your future goals?
I really wish to grow Jashn e Bahara Weddings in context to the team. And, one fine day I want Jashn to be known in the world.

Who has been your biggest inspiration?
My naani and my mother and my father are my biggest inspiration. I have learned a lot from them and I look upto them.

Did you face any financial challenges whilst starting Jashn e Bahara?
Yes, a lot! First few projects I did actually didn’t give me any return in financial terms. But, at times when you do good work, that contentment feeling cannot be compared with anything else in this world!

What advice do you have for women starting out on their own?
Be patient, be focused, don’t ever lose hope. Always keep the faith alive! Have firm faith in the supreme, ALWAYS!

What are your views and opinions towards the ambiguous need to promote women entrepreneurship and women empowerment in India?
I personally believe loads of efforts need to be inculcated for the same. There are many women, rather I would say many such potential ladies who aren’t that privileged wherein they can showcase their talents, or the issue is that due to lack of resources such talent is left out!
